Key Trends for Autumn Winter 2012| How to wear Runway Trends!

Hey Gurls..
I wanted to do a post focusing on the key trends for upcoming Autumn Winter 2012 season. This season saw alot of chic, pretty wearable trends. There were bold bursts of colors, balanced by dark neutrals & pastels. It had the leathers, sheers, stripes & checks!

So lets start with the prominent colors of the upcoming season...

The main spotlight was on bright fun colors. The runway saw bright bold neon colors in whole 1 piece suits, dresses in form of ombre, accessories & as in 1 key garment.

Tip: To dress up with a fun neon color make sure to pair it with a neutral like a tan or grey. It goes with any bold color & help to tone down the look apt for everyday wear.

As it winter, it calls for dark colors. The AW collection of alot of designer has hints of burgundy, wines, neutral shades of grey & smart navy!

Tip: Very easy to wear. Gives a very casual & chic look. Pick up any of these colors as a shirt of top & throw in a pair of pastel denims & your are all good! Try a grey day dress with bold color pops of accessories.

Pastels are now not limited to Spring summers only.. Pastels colors have hit the runway for winters as well..

Tip: Wear different shades of pastel together with light floral prints to give a romantic look.

Checks.. come winters & we see tartans & checks all over the place! Its a must have in any wardrobe.

Tip: Checks are a favorite of everyone! My favorite style of wearing a check shirt with a jeans is always a 10 on 10! Try a tartan skirt with a polo neck tshirt!

Digital & Floral Prints are a rage since past 3-4 seasons. It was also seen this time.

Tip: You can wear this trend with alot of thing! A digital printed dress with minimum stylish accessories will do the best!

Leather/PVC  pieces will never go out of trend for autumn winter internationally. Leather or PVC finished fabrics are not only in natural or tan colors but also in pinks, reds & electric blues!

Tip: Try a lightweight sleeveless leather jacket+white tshirt+ short skirt+ leggings + boots! For Indian weather I don't prefer wearing leather! but just for that fun day you should have a leather piece!

Wear the Man Suit! The Man Suit has been in trend from last winter.. Wear this for more androgynous look. It is not only a Mens garment now but also looks chic when women sports it!

Tip: Wear this for conference or meeting. Make sure the jacket hits you hip & has a good fit. Keep your make up natural.

The Military Chic also will never be lefgt out in the winter season!
Tip: Try a bomber jacket pockets on shirt with trouser/jeans & ankle length boots for a reguler daily military inspired look. Don't forget your aviators! Try nude lips & kohl eyes.

Oversized...

Tip: Try Oversized tshirt with leggings & gladiator sandals. keep your beachy waves & throw a sling bag!

Sheers & Laces can be gorgeous, sexy & sultry..

Tip: Get a solid color shirt with a lace yoke. Pair it with a cute skirt & there you are!

Stripes..  This season we saw stripes in almost everything! from 3 piece suits, jumpsuits, dresses etc..

Tip: stripes looks good on everyone! You should have a stripe shirt in your wardrobe. Avoid horizontal bold stripes that will make you look broader. Have You tried a subtle vertical striped pencil skirt?

Vintage.. This season took cue from the past of 30's 40's 50's & 60's . Knee length dresses, long maxi dresses, bouffant hairstyles ruled almost all designers collection.

Tip: Wear a knee length shift dress with a pony tail or a bouffant if you can manage & slim scarf round your head as a hairband for that quick vintage look!

Hope this post was helpful for your winter shopping!
