Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer- Review, Photos, Fotd!

Hey Gurls!
Today Il be talking about one of my favorite winter make up essential & one of my 1st Tinted Moisturizers. Its the Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer.

What it says...
An instant moisture boost with SPF 15 and a hint of skin- perfecting color. Lightweight, oil-free.
Skin Types: All
Formula: Liquid
Coverage: Sheer
Benefits: 8 Hours of Continuous Hydration, SPF 15

Price: I think it was around Rs 1600/-

What I say...
Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer is a liquid tinted moisturizer. Im in the shade 4. It has an unpleasant castor oil type smell but fades away as you apply it. I love the chic packaging, It comes in a plastic bottle with a nozzle & a silver twist up cap. Quiet handy to use & travel friendly.
The consistency is a bit on the runnier side. I just use 2 drops on cheeks, 1 on nose, chin & forehead & 2 more drops on the neck. This is enough to give a good sheer to medium coverage. Its glides on so smoothly that I cant even explain! It is more like a sheer foundation than a moisturizer.
It gives an instant boost of moisture to your skin, & gets absorbed very fast. It makes me flawless & radiant yet keeping it very natural! I have to use very less amount of concealer after I use this.

It claims to be oil free but it does get quiet oily & greasy if used during summers. Even while applying with your finger you can feel the oilyness, so I don't dare to use it during summers. It does melts a bit due to the oiliness, so it doesn't last very long on me. But it will last a decent time on normal to dry skin with setting powders. During other seasons I do get oily T-Zone ( I have Oily Tzone!) in due course of time. It din't oxidized on me.

This is how it looks on me. I dint use any concealer on my blemish so that you will know how much coverage it gives. You can see it gives a very nice natural & radiant finish. A bit of concealer on those spots & a bit setting powder to finish off will give a pretty flawless everyday kind of look.

Pros:
  • instant moisture to skin
  • love the packaging ( & its floral box too)
  • blends instantly
  • glides on easily
  • sheer to medium coverage
  • gives flawless & radiant look
  • a little goes long way
  • has SPF 15
  • looks very natural
  • will work great on dry- normal skin beauties
  • will last a very long time
Cons:
  • unpleasant castor oil fragrance (but fades away instantly)
  • oily
  • only 4 shades available
  • not pocket friendly
  • definitely not for oily beauties
  • need to set it with a powder
  • not longwear (if worn without setting powders)
Verdict: I quiet like this product. I have never come across a TM which has such amazing coverage. I love how it blends & gets absorbed in my skin & how lovely it makes my skin look. I wish it was not that greasy & wish it had a long wear time. & also if the price would have been a little competitive I would have repurchased it!
