The Body Shop Define & Lengthen Mascara- Review!

Hey Gurls!
Let me review a mascara today! This is the first mascara that I tried from The Body Shop. I have alot of mascaras (more than recommended) & tried alot of brands, The Body Shop never comes to mind when buying a mascara. But still i wanted to try this as it has a slim wand.

What It Says...

This mascara defines lashes with glossy colour and makes them appear longer.

• Smudge-resistant
• Non-flaking
• Ophthalmologically tested
• Dermatologically tested

Price: Rs 495/- for 10ml

What I say...

The Define & Lengthen Mascara comes in a grey glittery tube with a silver cap  . It has a slim tapered wand. The tapered end helps to get each corner lashes covered & as the wand is slim it is easier to coat the lower lashes too.

The mascara is easy to apply. It coats all lashes, it holds the curl for very long time. It does lengthen the lashes & makes them look long. But it doesn't gives definition to them. It doesn't separates them, it clumps all  together how much ever you try hard not to! It takes forever to dry. But after drying it doesnt flakes off or smudges due to heat. It sticks to the lash curler if you want to curl them again after the 1st coat. Layering the mascara with more than 1 coat makes no huge difference. (you can tell by looking at the pictures below). It some how makes the lashes go here & there. As if it is just applied in a jiffy! 
It is not the blackest mascara but as you know I layer mascaras so i use it as my 1st coat sometimes. 
It comes off easily with makeup remover, or wipes.

1. Bare lashes (but there are to spots of mascara)

2. with 1 coat of Define & Lengthen Mascara

3. With 2 coats of Define & Lengthen Mascara, makes no huge difference.

Pros:

• lengthens
• holds curl
• non flaking
• smudge resistant
• Ophthalmologically  & Dermatologically tested

Cons:

• takes ages to dry
• clumps
• doesn't separates
• no volume even after 2 coats

Verdict: It is not that great mascara. You can definitely skip this one. It may suit someone with small lashes, but it wont do much just give a natural effect.
There are better mascaras with slim wands available that does defines & lengthens your lashes more than this one does.
Do I recommend? NO! Will I repurchase Ofcourse NO!
